Hope21 is a scholarship program for disadvantaged YOUTHS BETWEEN THE AGE 15 to 21 years old. Our goal is for young people to find motivation to complete schooling, while building a character and BEING A meaningful PART OF THE COMMUNITY.
The youth receive a monthly grant (20-50EUR) while receiving a follow-up from a youth worker, attending youth center meetings, and MOST IMPORTANTLY - BEING HELPFUL AND TAKING ON RESPONSIBILITIES AT THE YOUTH CENTER.
OUR APPROACH: CPR
we build character through active participation and positive relationships
HÅP FOR ALLE HAS AWARDED A SCHOLARSHIP FOR YOUTH IN THE BALTIC COUNTRIES SINCE JANUARY 2012. IN THE WINTER OF 2014, THEY DECIDED TO FURTHER DEVELOP THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO BECOME A MORE COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM, WHERE YOUNG PEOPLE WOULD BE MORE COMMITTED TO PARTICIPATION AND TAKING MORE RESPONSIBILITY. IN THIS WAY, THE HOPE21 PROGRAM WAS BORN. IN 2014 SIX OF HOUSE OF HOPE YOUNGSTERS WERE AWARDED WITH THEIR FIRST SCHOLARSHIP. IN FEBRUARY, 2015 THANKS TO HÅP FOR ALLE 10 MORE SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED TO HOUSE OF HOPE YOUTHS. CURRENTLY THERE ARE 24 YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE AWARDED A GRANT IN LATVIA. THERE ARE ALSO 14 SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS IN TALLINN, ESTONIA TODAY.
TO DEVELOP THE PROGRAM HOPE21, WE HAVE TAKEN THE BEST FROM THE ORIGINAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM OF OUR PARTNER ORGANIZATION HAAP FOR ALLE, IN ADDITION TO GETTING INSPIRATION FROM OTHER PLACES, SUCH AS THE AMERICAN SCHOOL PROGRAM "KIPP", SELIGMAN & PETERSON (CHARACTER STRENGHTS AND VIRTUES), AS WELL AS RECENT EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH (INCLUDING THE DANISH CLEARINGHOUSE).
